Stanley USA 4½ Smoothing Plane Type 15

A vintage Stanley Bailey USA 4½ type 15 plane presented in clean used condition.

Fitted with an 2⅜” unmarked cutter with a good working length remaining.

Plane body has lost much of it's original Japanned finish, has general usage & oxidisation marks to commensurate to its considerable age.

Over all a good user plane making easy crisp shavings on exotic hardwood board as shown.

Note - the cutter & back iron require some gentle pressure to get it to seat down correctly onto the frog.
