An antique Nelson 122 Edgeware Road London (1831-1852) beechwood round moulding plane presented in clean used condition.

Toe has clear impressed makers mark, both toe and heel have previous owner's mark.

With usage & oxidisation marks commensurate to its considerable age.

Old hollow & round plane makers used differing standards to size their planes. Some used a numbering system that more or less followed a set numbering standard across 60 degrees of an arc, others used a numbering system of their own choosing, whilst others still marked their planes based on the cutter size.
